Year 7 is an exhilarating time for students, as they embark on their secondary education journey.

At Yarra Valley Grammar we provide a structured, welcoming transition program to give Year 7 students the best possible start.

Before the school year commences, students have several opportunities to attend the campus, becoming familiar with their new environment and meeting key members of staff. Our Orientation Mornings, relaxed enrolment interview and school tours ensure Year 7 students feel both confident and safe.

Once the school year begins, students benefit from Yarra Valley Grammar’s dedicated Year 7 Centre, which includes Home Rooms, lockers, communal areas and direct access to pastoral care teachers.

In addition, our Year 7 Pastoral and Outdoor Education camps are conducted early in the year, and provide a valuable opportunity for students to cement positive relationships with their peers and teachers.
