SENIOR COLLEGE
Students at this level are completing their final, important years of secondary education, and making significant choices about future study and career paths. At Yarra Valley Grammar we understand the intellectual, emotional and social needs of students during what can be very demanding senior years. The support we provide them at this level, and our deliberate focus on maintaining a ‘school-life’ balance, enables them to achieve their very best. Senior College is also a time of increasing responsibility. Our students proudly take on School leadership roles, acting as role models for the entire student body. In Senior College our goal is for every single student to achieve his or her personal best. While Yarra Valley Grammar’s academic record is excellent (typically, around 40% of our Year 12 students finish in the top 10% in the state), we understand that expectations and levels of achievement vary from student to student, and our flexible, extensive curriculum enables each individual to achieve success within his or her chosen fields of interest. Senior College staff facilitate student achievement through their provision of an exciting, stimulating curriculum. Our teachers at this level are passionate about their subject areas, and specialists in their respective fields. The Senior College experience is rounded out by an irresistible array of co-curricular activities, sports choices, camps, performance opportunities, student exchanges, music ensembles and social activities. |
