THE SENIOR COLLEGE EXTRAS

In Yarra Valley Grammar’s dynamic Senior College environment, students have access to a wide range of ‘extras’. These opportunities add to the lively, yet focussed nature of the Senior College experience. Here is a snapshot of what’s available:

Leadership
Senior College students take on the significant roles of School leaders. At Yarra Valley Grammar, all Senior College students are considered as the School’s leaders, and a high standard of behaviour is expected and encouraged.
As School Captains, Captains of each of the four Houses, Leaders of Activities and Prefects, Senior College students provide important leadership to the student body, and gain valuable, personal leadership experience at the same time.

The Connect program
Senior College students participate in Yarra Valley Grammar's Connect program, which involves making a positive contribution to either the School or wider community. Through this program, students may coach a junior sporting team, mentor an international student, work with local autistic children or take on one of a myriad other community roles.

Celebrations
Senior College students at Yarra Valley Grammar enjoy attending School-organised social occasions including the Years 10 and 11 Socials and the Year 12 Formal.

Student exchange opportunities
Senior College students have the opportunity to participate in formal international exchanges to Japan, France and Malaysia. Informal international exchanges are also encouraged. More information is available on our international exchanges page.

Careers advice
Senior College students have access to valuable careers information and guidance. They are provided with counselling and assistance in their subject selection, to ensure they meet relevant tertiary qualification requirements. Learn more on our Student Services page.
