The focus for students in Years 11 and 12 is on independent learning, and on the completion of their VCE studies in accordance with the guidelines laid down by the Victorian Curriculum and Assessment Authority.

At Yarra Valley Grammar we encourage and support every student to achieve to the best of his or her ability. Guided by our passionate Senior College teachers and with access to a very wide selection of VCE subjects, students are given the best possible chance of success.

The large range of VCE subjects offered at Yarra Valley Grammar comprise a wonderful array of more than 40 different units, allowing students to select an individual program that suits their interests and strengths, as well as their preferred tertiary and/or career path.

In addition to a straight VCE program, students with an interest in Art and Design may select to complete a VCE/VET pathway by undertaking a Certificate IV in Design that runs concurrently with the VCE. Leaders in Art and Design education, Yarra Valley Grammar is the only Australian secondary school to offer the Certificate IV in Design concurrently with the VCE.

The Certificate IV in Design provides a basis for both vocational preparation and for further study. It enables students who wish to purse a career in art or design to develop significant folios of high quality work.
