Yarra Valley Grammar is a co-educational school catering for students from our Early Learning Centre through to Year 12. An exciting opportunity exists to join our enthusiastic team as Director of Sport.

Yarra Valley Grammar has representation in 14 sports in the AGSV / APS inter-school competitions and participates in a further six sports in other competitions.

The School’s sporting program employs over 110 external coaches and approximately 30 umpires and referees as well as 50 teaching staff involved with sport co-curricular.  The School fields 50-60 teams over a typical week with 850 secondary school students participating. 

Yarra Valley Grammar’s sporting facilities are outstanding and include a sports complex with courts and gymnasium, indoor swimming pool, multiple ovals or playing fields for football, soccer, cricket and hockey (under lights), softball, 18 tennis courts and netball courts.  

Applications are invited for the position of Director of Sport.  Working closely with the Boys’ and Girls’ Sport Coordinators, the successful applicant will: 
Facilitate Strategic planning and development for Sport
Provide leadership for Sports Department staff
Establish and work within budgets
Coordinate inter-house and inter-school fixtures
Oversee coaches, umpires and referees
Organise winter and summer sports presentation and awards events
Carry out other duties as required by the Principal

As there is a teaching component to this role, current VIT registration is required.
