Junior School Curriculum Coordinator

Yarra Valley Grammar is a co-educational school catering for students from our Early Learning Centre through to Year 12. An exciting opportunity exists to join our enthusiastic team next year as Junior School Curriculum Coordinator.

The successful applicant will: 
Consult with the Deputy Principal – Head of Junior School, Teaching and Learning Co-ordinators and Curriculum Committee regarding relevant aspects of the curriculum policy and practice
Teach extension programs and provide advice to classroom teachers regarding more able students
Oversee curriculum documentation for each subject, as well as weekly/term planning in all year levels
Keep abreast of latest trends in curriculum both nationally and internationally
Conduct and chair regular curriculum meetings to discuss pertinent issues
Conduct regular curriculum reviews, minor and major
Explore innovative curriculum additions and/or changes and share with the Deputy Principal – Head of Junior School and relevant school committees
Coordinate regular reviews of the Junior School curriculum 
Provide an exemplary role model for staff including attendance at school promotional functions
Carry out other duties as required by the Principal.

The Curriculum Coordinator role is allocated as a 0.6 FTE non-teaching role.  In addition to this, a further 0.4 FTE will be a teaching role, providing extension programs to our more able students.
