Take Your Seat

The Yarra Foundation is proud to announce that the Take Your Seat in Yarra’s History campaign received extraordinary community support. Over $150,000 was raised with approximately 300 plaques installed on the back of seats in the newly refurbished George Wood Performing Arts Centre.

On 28 August we were delighted to be joined by close to 300 Yarra community members who had participated in this campaign to unveil their own special commemorative plaque and join us at the Plaque Dedication event.

Giving back to Yarra in time and financial gifts is the tradition that our School was built on and it was sensational to see this tradition continuing on. We thank everyone who got behind this campaign to help us fast track, innovate and bring plans forward so we continue to place Yarra at the forefront of education, in a rapidly changing world.
