Yarra’s Community Festival

Saturday 15 October, 3pm.  

After two years of lockdown, it’s time to let our hair down and have some good wholesome fun at Yarra’s Community Festival. Join us at Yarra on Saturday 15 October from 3pm.

As well as the usual fair rides, entertainment, food and drinks, there are also going to be three very special additions this year that we know you are going to love!

1) YOG vs First XI Cricket Match – we are trialing a change in the timing on this historic event and we know that it will pull a crowd! If you are a past First XI cricket player please contact us on yog@yvg.vic.edu.au.au to secure your spot on the YOG team. If not, then make sure you come down and support your fellow YOGs. But, which team will the cries of “Go Yarra!” be for?!

2) 50 years of Yarra’s Hearing Unit – YVG’s Hearing Unit turns 50 this year and to commemorate this milestone there will be a special celebration in the Hearing Unit rooms at the Festival. Join us to wish them a very happy 50th anniversary.

3) Cinema on the Oval sponsored by YOG – And after all the fun of fair, the Festival will culminate in (at 8pm) a Cinema on the Oval, kindly sponsored by YOG.
