Yarra Valley Grammar students win top VCE honours

Congratulations to Charles Kuang, Alfred Lai and Bailey Read who were recognized last week at the Premier’s VCE Awards at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre for their outstanding academic results in 2022.

Top All-Round VCE High Achiever Award

Charles Kuang received a Top All-Round VCE High Achiever Award. The Top All-Round VCE High Achiever Award is awarded to students who have achieved study scores of 46 or higher in at least five VCE studies. Charles is one of only 34 students to receive this award in 2022 so it is a remarkable achievement.

Study Award

Individual Graded Assessment scores are used to determine the order of merit for Study Awards to identify the best students. Students must have a study score of 46 or above to be eligible for an award.

In addition to the Top All-Round VCE High Achiever Award, Charles Kuang also received a Study Award for Specialist Maths. Alfred Lai and Bailey Read also received Study Awards for their outstanding results for Biology and History Revolutions respectively.

The annual Premier’s VCE Awards recognise the top-performing students in the state. This year, 300 students across 88 subjects were recognised with awards for their outstanding results in 2022.

The entire Yarra Valley Grammar community is proud of Charles, Alfred and Bailey and would like to congratulate them on being the recipients of such prestigious awards.

We wish them every success in their tertiary endeavours and look forward to hearing of their post-Yarra journey.
