YARRA GIVING: SHOW YOUR YARRA SPIRIT

As we celebrate 60 years of Yarra, Yarra Giving is an opportunity for every member of our community to support an area of the School that is meaningful to them. Whether your passion is creating a place to belong, opening a door for someone, giving a voice to the stage or sparking a lifelong reader, every gift helps create opportunities for current and future students. Thank you to everyone who has already supported Yarra Giving 2026 and helped bring the future to today.

There are many ways you can make an impact:

Create a place to belong ->     Building Fund

Open a door for someone ->   Hearing Unit Scholarship Fund

Give a voice to the stage ->     James Simpson Performing Arts Fund

Spark a lifelong reader ->        Library Fund

THE IMPACT OF GIVING: OPENING DOORS

For many families, a Hearing Unit Scholarship makes access to a Yarra education possible. As one parent shared, "The Hearing Unit has been invaluable to our daughter's development". They described how the combination of individual support and a high-quality education has helped their child thrive in both learning and confidence. They also reflected that scholarship support provides "real peace of mind", opening opportunities that may otherwise be out of reach. Every gift to the Hearing Unit Scholarship Fund helps create these opportunities for students and their families.

A LASTING LEGACY FOR YARRA’S YOUNG PERFORMERS:

You may have noticed a new option among this year's Yarra Giving funds. The James Simpson Performing Arts Fund was established by the Simpson family to honour the life and legacy of their son, James (YOG 2005), following his passing in 2024. Created to build an everlasting source of support for young performers, the fund will help sustain an annual Performing Arts Prize for future generations of Yarra students. This year's recipients, Lucy and Sisley, are two outstanding Year 11 students whose talent and dedication embody the spirit of the award. Every contribution to this Fund helps strengthen this legacy, ensuring students who share James' passion for the performing arts across all genres can continue to develop their talents for years to come.
