School Librarian (Full Time, Term Time Only)

We are seeking a passionate Library and Information Services team member who enjoys working in a collegial and dynamic environment that is central to our School’s learning community. This position is based primarily in the secondary school, performing an integral role within the secondary team to support the delivery of a high impact library service that supports students and teachers within a continuously improving program. 

You are:

• a person who thrives in an environment where leading, delegating and supporting are regular contributions made by each member within this multi skilled and collaborative team
• a person who enjoys using your quality interpersonal skills when working with students, teachers and library colleagues. Your presentation skills enable you to communicate the services and expertise that the library offers to these groups
• a library services professional with accompanying tertiary qualifications, and eligibility for membership of the Australian Library and Information Association (ALIA). Your combination of qualification and experience supports your passion for education, reading, and for information literacy in a contemporary learning environment.
• a person who enjoys contributing within a team environment to further develop and inspire reading and research for the students and staff within our school community.

Previous experience within an independent school setting is preferred, the position is full time, during the school term only.

A salary commensurate with experience will be offered. The successful applicant must have a current Working with Children Check.
