A Message From The Principal 2 June 2021

Dear Members of the Yarra Valley Community,

Following today’s announcement by the Victorian Government that the lockdown will continue for another seven days, I am writing to confirm that we will continue with our online and offsite learning program with some changes.

The following arrangements will be in place:

• Year 12 students will return to school based classes on Monday 7 June

• All other scheduled arrangements (classes or examinations) for Prep to Year 11 will continue to be delivered online to students in their homes

• Years 9 - 11 examinations will continue to be conducted online over this period

• The Early Learning Centre (ELC) will remain in operation with additional protective measures in place

• There is limited provision for the children of essential workers to attend school to be supervised during school hours. Those who are eligible must reapply through juniorschooloffice@yvg.vic.edu.au by 9am Thursday 3 June and approval will be communicated

• The OHSC will remain available for ELC and approved families of essential workers who will be onsite

• There will be no AGSV sport or other school cocurricular activities until further notice

• All those attending school above the age of 12 years will need to wear masks

• The school buses and Yarra Café will remain non-operational

The continued lockdown is clearly disappointing. Fortunately, our teachers deliver excellent classes online and I thank all those parents who have been contacting us to provide such positive feedback about the work of our teachers.

Yours sincerely,

Dr Mark Merry

Principal
