We are seeking a Head of Touch Football to oversee the development of the sport across all year levels. The successful applicant should present as a knowledgeable, enthusiastic, organised leader with a passion for Touch Football and a demonstrated capacity to lead both coaches and students across all levels.
Working closely with the Director of Sport, the successful applicant will aim to maximise student engagement, develop coaches and improve team results for all Touch Football teams. The Head of Touch Football will attend training sessions and games, providing leadership and a clear direction to coaches.
The successful applicant should have relevant experience and coaching accreditation in the sport (Level 3 - Intermediate Coach level or above would be preferable) and a demonstrated capacity to plan for, implement and maintain high standards of consistent performance and engagement.
Prior successful experience in school sport programs will be highly regarded.
Please note this is not a teaching position and the successful candidate must be available for Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday training sessions between the hours of 1.30pm - 3.30pm (for year level teams) and Saturday games between 8am and 12pm. Administrative and planning hours (outside of training / game sessions) will also be considered part of the role each week and will be paid accordingly.
The role includes:
❏ Advocacy for highest possible level of student engagement
❏ The promotion of coaching ‘best practice’ across all coaches including regular feedback on coach performance
❏ Development and oversight of training plans for all teams
❏ Creation of a plan for the future development and improvement of Touch Football
Reporting to the Director of Sport, this is a varied and challenging role in a busy area of the School. An hourly rate commensurate with experience will be offered. The role has clearly defined working hours and weeks and is fixed term commencing immediately and concluding on 30 March 2026.
