We are seeking a Head of Learning Support to manage and develop the department, its staff and the implementation of programs, learning support and testing relevant to the department.
In particular, the successful applicant will demonstrate the following competencies:
- A thorough knowledge and understanding of learning difficulties, how these impact on students accessing the curriculum and effective strategies to assist these students
- Positive management and development of department team encouraging and supporting individual teachers' existing skills and professional development
- Efficient review of documentation for the department and provision of detailed report of reviews
- Sound understanding of NCCD requirements
- Promotion and presentation of students' work and overall visual display of subject area
- Sound written, verbal and digital communication skills
A salary commensurate with experience will be offered. The successful applicant must have current VIT registration.
